Tear Drops - A Poem

TEAR DROPS

As I step into the empowering white pearly gate
And watch the souls floating by,
With a smile on their face sharing the happy fate
Making all the pain and trials of life worthy.

When I understand and realize that this was the moment
I had dreamed and strived for in my entire life
The moment that I feared I would loose and lament
But now need not fear for this is my eternity destination.

When I watch in awe at my great-grandparents and ancestors
Who I have heard but never seen
Whose resemblances perhaps carry even to my kids
Smile and wave to me on the final day

When I see my delighted family and friends
Who guided and prayed that I be saved
So as not to be one of the foolish bridesmaids
Never to relish this glorious moment

When I know that my neighbours and colleague
Have made it with me to the ultimate destination
As we get prepared for the worship prologue
To glorify and worship the lord of lords, our saviour.

When I look around and recognize the saints
As I see the stripes and wounds of Saint Paul
Recollect Saint Peter and the anguish on his denials
Shed the understanding smile at the doubtful Saint Thomas

When I see the beautiful angels gliding around
Happily and calmly gathering us to the throne of the Lord
To begin the melodious praise and worship songs as one heavenly family crowd
And I gaze at the Lord my God, JESUS whose love and glory flows everywhere

Tell me my friend
Will I cry? With happiness that I have made it
 Or
Will I cry? With anguish as I do not see you here
